RMHC Southern West Virginia announces philanthropic investment from JPMorganChase, unveils “Wish Room”

JPMorganChase is investing $25,000 into Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Southern West Virginia to help meet the growing needs of families with children in the hospital.

On Thursday, Randy Morgan of JPMorganChase’s Kentucky and West Virginia Market Leadership Team presented the check to Brooke Field, Executive Director of RMHC of Southern West Virginia. The organization also unveiled its new “Wish Room,” which was built by donations from the bank. Chase volunteers helped stock the room with books and toys for patients and their siblings to help brighten their day.

“We created the Wish Room to bring moments of joy to families while their children receive life-saving medical care far from home,” said Field. “Whether it’s a toy for the patient after a tough procedure or a surprise for a sibling who is missing home, these small gifts can bring a much-needed sense of normalcy to families with ill or injured children when they need it most. Thanks to support from partners like Chase, we’re able to give our families a simple reminder that they are not alone.”

RMHC of Southern West Virginia relies on community donations to serve families. Chase’s West Virginia team has proudly supported the organization since 2018 through philanthropic investments and volunteerism. Each month, employees prepare lunch for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. To date, Chase’s West Virginia team has prepared nearly 40 meals so families can focus their time on caring for their children in the hospital.

“Ronald McDonald House Charities has touched many lives in Southern West Virginia and beyond,” said Randy Morgan, member of JPMorganChase’s Kentucky and West Virginia Market Leadership Team. “JPMorganChase is proud to support their mission and help spread joy through the new ‘Wish Room’ so families can focus on what’s most important – each other.”
